Increasing the efficiency of Under Armour’s product development, we created photorealistic 3D renderings of UA running shoes before they existed in reality.
Increasing the efficiency of Under Armour’s product development, we created photorealistic 3D renderings of UA running shoes before they existed in reality.
In 2009, Under Armour entered the footwear industry with a brand new line of athletic running shoes. When Aniden approached Under Armour, UA was launching six pairs of running shoes, two of which already had physical prototypes. Aniden was tasked with creating digital renders for the remaining four pairs in order for UA to begin their advertising and marketing communication efforts quicker, without having to wait for physical prototypes.
Although the apparel industry was new for Aniden, extensive 3D rendering skills allowed our designers to digitally recreate every innovative layer of the running shoe. To further assist Under Armour, we rebuilt their CAD files to guarantee a crisp, high-resolution image for prints of all size, including billboard ads.
Our designers created renders of the running shoes from multiple angles, including the inside of the shoe, to show the extensive technology of UA’s running shoe. The final photoreal images were leveraged onto the Under Armour website, banners and magazine ads, to name a few. With our timely photorealistic renders, Under Armour was able to efficiently venture into the running industry with captivating advertisements and marketing assets.
