After Effects Render Manager
Monologue AE Render Manager is a simple and easy-to-use After Effects render tool and its free! All you have to do is add your comps to your render queue in After Effects, then save the project. Next, add the aep file to the manager and hit “Render AE Queue.” Now you can render multiple comps and still continue working in After Effects.
This title is unique to other background render utilities, because it is a standalone application that is free. You can customize render settings in the manager as well, such as frame range, multiple processors, file name, etc. My favorite feature for this tool is the use of Backburner to queue up several projects and even render on several PCs simultaneously.
This method is much better than selecting to “ignore existing frames” within After Effects, because with that option you have to dial back to only one processor. When your machine has 4-24 cores, you don’t want to waste that extra horsepower.
Check it out and download it. It is very simple to use. The only advanced setup step is the possibility of needing to go into your group policy and enable program compatibility. That is all explained in the help file, which is included in the download.
