Pocket Watch and V-Ray
These are a few images from one of my current side projects. I modeled this pocket watch to help me in the process of learning V-Ray. I have always seen great works of art produced with V-Ray and figured it was time to give it a shot.
At the start of the project, I was amazed at how much there is to the program. With so many controls and settings, it took a little bit to find a good starting point. I went through many online tutorials and documentation to figure out a lot of the settings I used and what certain things would do.
Once I got a good workflow going, everything just seemed to fall into place. All the materials are made from scratch and the model is almost 100% NURBS. With that said, if any 3D artist has a chance to work in V-Ray, go for it. You won’t be disappointed.
Hope you enjoy the images.
