Work Hard, Play Harder!
I’m the Bob Hope of Aniden, only better looking.
Julie McCoy, from The Love Boat…is anyone else even old enough to know who I’m talking about?
Working in an office full of “creative types”, when I’m not one myself, isn’t always easy. Being a left-brained person who primarily works with numbers should make me a bit of an outcast. However, since I am also responsible for planning fun and creative activities for the office to boost morale, none of that matters.
Some days I feel a little like Julie McCoy, cruise director of The Love Boat, trying to come up with new ways to keep everyone around here in a happy, productive mood. Other days I feel more like Bob Hope on a USO tour, taking it upon myself to entertain the troops. Either way, it is hands down the best part of my job!
Whether you’re part of the administrative side or a member of the production team, you still feel the same sting of defeat when you’re shot with a Nerf dart during a game of Aniden Assassin. Having the talent to design some amazing and innovative digital media doesn’t mean a thing if your ball keeps hooking to the left when you’re at a bowling happy hour. At Casino Day, it doesn’t take a creative mind to bluff a coworker into folding their hand when all you’re holding are trash cards.
When it comes to extracurricular activities, the playing field is leveled, and we all come together to enjoy ourselves. Personally, I can’t wait to see what I come up with next!
