Protect your Eyes
Out of the five human senses, our vision is the most significant. It is important to protect them in this ever-growing electronic age. Our vision is used for everything, from working on the computer to watching TV, looking at new cell phone screens, even driving. If you work staring at a computer screen like most people in this era, then you are familiar with dry, red and tired eyes. I will list a couple ways to help protect them from harm.
I believe the most important way is to take a break every thirty minutes. During your break, try and focus on something farther away. Other ways to help are to buy an anti-glare screen protector, which can eliminate UV light reflecting from your screen into your eyes. You can also keep a bottle of rewetting drops next to your desk.
I wear contacts and recently went to the optometrist; she told me I was developing astigmatism in my right eye. I told her I work on a computer all day, and she offered me a solution to help benefit my eyes from getting dry. She told me to position my monitors below eye-level, because the eyelid wouldnt have to open as far, which would reduce the chances of getting dry eyes. I have taken her advice and placed my monitor below eye-level and have never had to use my rewetting drops again.
I hope you take some of this information I have provided and put it in use. Protect those eyes of yours, you only have two.
