Almost the Greatest Digital Peripheral Ever
One of my favorite tools to use as a digital artist is the Wacom tablet. It allows me to create and manipulate graphics and imagery with ease and comfort. It sure beats doing these things with a bar of soap (traditional mouse).
At Aniden, I use the tablet to speed up my workflow within Photoshop. In my personal work, I use the tablet to create various texture maps and other graphics. Using the Wacom for these tasks is just more natural for an artist.
I will say it took a little time to get familiar with using the device. But if used regularly, it becomes an extension of the creative soul in no time. If you haven’t used or are unfamiliar with a graphics tablet, I highly recommend you give one a try.
I personally use a Wacom Intuos3, which I acquired several years ago while in college. Much advancement has been made over the years to this technology, so I’m sure the newer versions are much smoother and more accurate.
This device has become a valuable tool in my toolbox.
